Industrial MIG welding in Montréal — the production process
MIG accounts for the large majority of industrial welding, and for good reason: it's fast, it's strong, and it handles almost any structural joint. When a project calls for volume and strength, it's the default choice.
When to choose MIG
- Structural assemblies that have to hold under load.
- Production runs, where time per part drives the price.
- Medium to heavy gauges.
- Projects where speed matters as much as bead quality.
MIG by material
MIG on steel
The standard case. Structures, supports, frames, platforms.
MIG on stainless
When volume outweighs surface finish.
MIG on aluminum
Larger aluminum parts, with the appropriate feed setup.

The other processes
The right process depends on the part. When to prefer the others:
TIG welding
Prefer it when the bead shows or the sheet is thin.
Learn moreArc welding
Prefer it outdoors, on existing steel and heavy gauges.
Learn moreMetal bending
Prefer it on production runs, when a bend can replace a bead.
Learn morePlasma cutting
Prefer it to pull true parts straight from the drawing.
Learn moreEvery process starts from an approved 3D design and feeds into our custom fabrication.
