Precision TIG welding in Montréal — steel, stainless and aluminum
TIG is the precision process. It's the right call on thin sheet, on visible joints, and anywhere the bead is part of the finished product. It's the slowest of the three welding processes, and the most demanding.
When to choose TIG
- Thin sheet, where another process would burn through.
- Visible joints where finish matters as much as strength.
- Aluminum and stainless steel, which don't forgive excess heat.
- Tight-tolerance parts where thermal distortion has to be controlled.
TIG by material
TIG on steel
Fine joints and parts that need a clean weld.
TIG on stainless
Food, pharmaceutical and sanitary environments. Heat control preserves corrosion resistance.
TIG on aluminum
Lightweight parts, structures and components that need a consistent bead.

The other processes
The right process depends on the part. When to prefer the others:
MIG welding
Prefer it when the part has to be strong and move fast.
Learn moreArc welding
Prefer it outdoors, on existing steel and heavy gauges.
Learn moreMetal bending
Prefer it on production runs, when a bend can replace a bead.
Learn morePlasma cutting
Prefer it to pull true parts straight from the drawing.
Learn moreEvery process starts from an approved 3D design and feeds into our custom fabrication.
